Do you want to know our secret?
It’s all thanks to Peggy-Sue, Noodle and Coco. We’ve always suspected our office dogs were giving us superpowers, but now science has backed it up

Swedish scientists from Uppsala University have published research that shows having a dog is associated with living longer and a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.

Our canine companions make us walk more often, are great for socialising and may even give off a microbe that actually boosts our immune system.

What’s even better, is that by bringing them to work we’re sharing these pawtastic benefits around. According to psychologists, having our four-legged friends in the workplace also increases cooperation and positivity, and lowers stress, heart rate and blood pressure.

So thanks to our trio of pups, we’re healthier and happier.

Coco & Peggy Dogs

Peggy-Sue is a cockapoo and our most regular visitor. We all know that sitting too long at your desk is bad for you, well Peggy-Sue makes sure everybody gets up and gives her a regular walk around the grounds. With reports that many adults spend more than seven hours a day sitting, we can thank Peggy-Sue for reducing our risk of being overweight, type 2 diabetes and even some types of cancer by making us regularly stretch our legs.

Noodle and Coco are miniature schnauzers and love to come along when they can. These waggy-tailed pups are naturally playful and very affectionate, which is great for us because petting and playing with dogs increases levels of stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decreases stress hormone cortisol. According to a study in the International Journal of Workplace Health Management, access to dogs has a calming influence whether it’s their own pets or other people’s.

Kubiak is in good company when it comes to businesses that welcome pets at their premises. Google, Amazon and Ben and Jerry’s take their pet-friendly status seriously, and Build-a-Bear Workshop has a Chief Executive Dog called Milford. Software company AnchorFree even has a domesticated wolf on its premises!

Bringing your dog to work isn’t just good for you and your staff, it’s great for your pooch too. They gain confidence in the car and in public, and the socialising exercises them mentally, which is just as important as physical exercise. You’d have to be barking mad not to.

Peggy-Sue, Noodle and Coco love making new friends and welcoming furry visitors to the pack, so when you next want to drop in and talk to one of our team, feel free to bring along your handsome hound….Bonios are at the ready.
